Last week Aquaculture ID staff trained the hatchery staff of Agro Rybia Farma in Slovakia in their brand new RAS African catfish hatchery and produced the first batch of African catfish fry. Aquaculture ID designed this hatchery, with a production capacity of 700,000 juvenile African catfish per year, and performed full installation in the past 2 months.

All the hatchery systems use RAS technology in order to provide optimal water quality to the fish. The African catfish hatchery is equipped with a state of the art monitoring and control system, allowing a complete overview of all hatchery system components at all time through computer or telephone.
