Tilapia fingerling system

The first three weeks are the most delicate part of a tilapia life. There is almost no immune system present and the fry is therefore very vulnerable for all kinds of diseases during that time. In the tilapia fingerling system the fish are grown until fingerlings of approximately 0,5 gram. The tilapia fingerling system is a system with two tanks of 500 liters each. These tanks are very easy to maintain and disinfected between each batch of fry.

Specifications of the tilapia fingerling system:

• 2x Fish tanks, each tank has a volume 500 liter
• 1x Combined fiberglass sedimentation / pump tank. This tank is divided into two compartments. One compartment is filled with filter blocks for mechanical filtration of the water.
• 1x Reception tank with 1 outlet to the fish tanks
• 1x Biotower constructed out of stainless steel (SS304), PP filter blocks and a distribution cover
• 1x Stainless steel (SS304) biotower frame
• 1x Stainless steel support frame (SS304)
• 1x Messner Pump (German quality!)
• 1x UV-C device for clear water
• Aeration device
• PVC pipes and fittings

Please note that an African catfish fingerling system is similar as the tilapia fingerling system. With the biggest difference that the tilapia fingerling system is foreseen with aeration.
